Future Wireless Systems
6G Communication
The utilization of sub-terahertz (THz) technology is anticipated to provide extraordinary data transmission speeds for the next generation of wireless communication systems, particularly for intelligent communication among Internet of Things (IoT) devices. Additionally, sixth generation (6G) communication employs spatial mode multiplexing, a wireless protocol that transmits distinct data signals or streams between antennas to improve wireless signal performance and functionality.
Advance antenna technology
The term "Advanced antenna technology" encompasses antenna systems that utilize a range of techniques to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of wireless communication transceivers. These techniques are based on principles of antenna array theory and practice, and include adaptive beam forming, MIMO, and SDMA. Such multiple antenna technologies can be implemented using either passive or active antennas, and are generally applicable across all frequency bands and wireless applications.
Cognitive radio technology
Cognitive radio (CR) is a wireless communication technology that allows transceivers to intelligently detect and identify available and occupied communication channels within the frequency spectrum. This enables immediate access to unoccupied channels and avoidance of busy channels, leading to optimized use of the radio frequency (RF) spectrum. As a result, CR technology provides an efficient means of enhancing the use of RF spectrum, reducing interference, and improving overall wireless communication system performance.
